45th Annual Riverton Rendezvous Balloon Rally - July 18, 19 & 20

The Riverton Rendezvous Balloon Rally will again be offering balloon rides during the 2025 balloon rally weekend. $300 per person on Friday and Saturday, $250 per person on Sunday. Balloons launch from the CWC soccer fields at 6:00 AM (please be there by 5:45 AM). It usually takes about an hour to sign waivers, setup, and launch, approximately one hour in the air floating above the Riverton area, and an hour to pack up and get back to the field.

NOTE: Ballooning is a very weather-dependent sport. Balloon rides will be cancelled when winds are too high or weather would impact the safety of the flight. If a flight is cancelled and we’re not able to reschedule it for another day, payments will be fully refunded.

Volunteer!

Have you been looking for a way to volunteer in your community that is a little bit more fun than picking up trash on the side of the road? Have you always wanted to join a balloon team and get into the action of the rally?

Well, this is your lucky week! Come help crew for a visiting balloon pilot on July 18, 19, 20.

Are you concerned that you might not be experienced enough? Do you think you might not have the strength needed for this activity?

I can assure you that you are more than qualified as there is no experience needed. (See below.) If these little girls can do it, then you can too!

Call or message Andy Samuelson (307-851-4446) with any questions or just come to the CWC soccer fields at 5:45 AM this Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday to sign a waiver and be paired with a balloon pilot. We will meet you at the blue trailer next to the announcer table. Help layout, inflate, and launch the balloon, and then chase the balloon while it flies, and help pack it up after landing.

We are having a training day on Thursday, July 17, 2025 also at the CWC soccer fields. A more laidback morning with only a half dozen balloons launching will be a great chance to meet a pilot and “learn the ropes.”

Insider tip: While it’s not guaranteed, people who help a couple days in a row with the same pilot occasionally get to ride in the balloon. (With balloon rides being valued at $600 for two people, it’s like earning a couple hundred dollars per hour!)
