Wind River Canyon Study

Have you driven through the stunning Wind River Canyon lately? This iconic Wyoming route on US 20/WY 789 is a breathtaking drive for locals, tourists, and everyone in between—but it's also the ONLY main path connecting communities north and south of the Wind River Range. When rockfalls, landslides, weather, or incidents close the canyon, it can mean hours- or even days-long detours that impact families, businesses, and daily life. WYDOT, working with FHU, Engineering Associates, and project partners, is studying ways to make the corridor safer and more resilient!
They've just launched a new website to hear directly from YOU! Your experiences traveling through the canyon (the good, the challenging, and everything in between) will help shape recommendations for improvements.

Take a few minutes to check it out and share your feedback—it really matters for keeping our communities connected and our roads reliable. Thanks for helping make Wyoming's roads better for all of us!
