45th Annual Riverton Rendezvous Balloon Rally - July 18, 19 & 20

The Riverton Rendezvous Balloon Rally will again be offering balloon rides during the 2025 balloon rally weekend. $300 per person on Friday and Saturday, $250 per person on Sunday. Balloons launch from the CWC soccer fields at 6:00 AM (please be there by 5:45 AM). It usually takes about an hour to sign waivers, setup, and launch, approximately one hour in the air floating above the Riverton area, and an hour to pack up and get back to the field.

NOTE: Ballooning is a very weather-dependent sport. Balloon rides will be cancelled when winds are too high or weather would impact the safety of the flight. If a flight is cancelled and we’re not able to reschedule it for another day, payments will be fully refunded.

National Night Out Planning Meeting ~ Wednesday, July 9

 Dear Team,

We want to extend our gratitude to each of you for your active participation in our recent planning meetings for this year’s National Night Out. Your enthusiasm and commitment truly shine, and it's inspiring to see our community come together for this special event.

We are excited to remind you that our next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 9th at 5:00 PM. We’ll gather at the Fire Hall located at 404 S Broadway Ave, Riverton, WY 82501. Hot Notes, Cool Nites ~ The Joey Leone Band - Monday, June 30

Our first concert (June 30 @ 7 PM) will feature the Joey Leone Band in Riverton City Park bandshell. The CWC Community Band will perform audience favorites followed by Leone's band. Joey Leone’s “classic rock reputation is legendary dating back to the October 1992 issue of Guitar Player magazine where Joey’s sound was compared to none other than Jimi Hendrix,” according to a press release. He was a hit for HNCN audiences in 2024!

Join us Thursday, June 26th for an unforgettable evening at Riverton Little League — packed with baseball, food, celebration, and fireworks!

Master Gardeners meet monthly to discuss and provide information and advice on the subjects of horticulture, harvesting, food preservation, floriculture, and more. Roundtable discussions include various topics such as plant care, fertilizing, pruning, propagation, watering, pest and weed control, etc. The public is invited to attend (you don't have to be a Master Gardener to attend the meetings)! 🐾 WHISKERS & WAGS PET SITTER: Are you looking for someone to look after your Fur-Babies while you are away? Look no further. If you are in the immediate Riverton area, I can feed, and love up your pets for $14 per visit (up to three pets )…$2 for each additional pet.
If you are in the outskirts of town, I will have to charge an additional $5 per visit (Sorry, no visits further than 5 miles out of town, and no overnight stays.)
Also, I am willing to do any additional chores (such as watering plants, etc.) for an additional small agreed-upon price.

CALL FOR COMMISSIONED ART: In collaboration between the Wyoming Arts Council (WAC) and the Wyoming State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO), a new call for commissioned artwork is currently open. The 2026 Wyoming Archaeology Awareness Month Poster Call is an open call for regional artists to submit a poster proposal. The selected artist will receive a $6,000 payment, and their artwork will be featured on the Semiquincentennial Wyoming Archaeology Awareness Poster for America's 250th Anniversary.

MEALS ON WHEELS SEEKING VOLUNTEERS! The Riverton Senior Center is in need of reliable volunteers to assist with our Meals on Wheels program. We are looking for caring individuals to help deliver meals to individuals on one of our three routes within the city limits. This would be a 2-hour commitment for one day a week from about 10am-noon. We have some days covered already, but still need some assistance. Please join us in helping others in our community!
